Brunch is great and all, but if you’re a little hungover from your countless Saturday night wines that meant you could endure that god-awful show that’s on ITV at the moment – you know the one that’s like watching X Factor on an acid trip? Well, that kind of hangover can make talking to your mates over brunch pretty difficult.

You just want them to shut up because your brain can’t create sentences and all you want to do is tuck into your eggs, drink some bubbly hair of the dog and not have to use your brain at all.

Well, I’ve got just the spot for you. It’s also equally as great if you’re not hungover because that means you can tuck into even more booze, which is a win all around.

Taking over the newest (and coolest) place in Manchester, CULTUREPLEX is the Fruity Brunch Spot.

And no, it doesn’t mean you have to get 22 of your 5 a day in one quick sitting. It means the good kind of fruity.

Well, this week sees DJ sets from Jonjo Jury and @highhoopsdj

Jonjo Jury has held residencies at legendary club nights Trash, Durrr & Savage Disco & regularly plays international parties. He also has what I would consider being a dream job as my party playlists are somewhat of a legend, Playlist Curator at Cultureplex.

High Hoops are one of the countries finest party starters. It’s fair to say their music policy behind the decks is as diverse as their line ups. Expect World Disco to Psychedelic House, Acid to Electro Jams and everything in between.

And just as you fill up, get that boozy head you can sit back, relax and sink into an old-school film, La Dolce Vita from the 60s showing at 3pm.

How does your Sunday sound? Better now you’re going to Fruity Brunch I would guess.
