First Look: The NEW NQ club that's prioritising gender and LGBTQ+ balanced lineups

A new club is opening this Autumn in the basement of what was The Patron and is now known as Wilson’s Social Club in the heart of the NQ. Named COTTON, the space will prioritise gender & LGBTQ+ equality. T

The 200-capacity space is being designed with hopes of being a truly safe space, that’s still completely inclusive for all, utilising a selection of up-and-coming talents mixed with more established acts and local DJ’s.

About time, eh? 

Perfectly reflecting the thoughts and values of everyone in the NQ, Manchester and beyond the owners believe starting something new should mean pushing these values in everything you do.

Kicking off the opening party on Friday 13th September is Umwelt, a musician and activist and Phoebe Valentine co-founder of BLOOM (Beautiful. Ladies. Organising. Orgasmic. Music) a collective based in Manchester. 

The Autumn line up oasts feminist collective All Hands On Deck, Juan Atkins, Shackleton, rRoxymore, Teki Latex and plenty more.
