The full line-up for Festa Italiana is out and it is HUGE

Festa Italiana is the country’s biggest festival celebrating all things Italian food, drink and culture and it is in Manchester!

Transforming Cathedral Gardens into Little Italy between 26th-28th July with tonnes of Italian food and drinks treats for visitors from 11am until late into the evening. Here’s the full run down of everything you can expect:

Food

The line up for food is the biggest yet and includes the glamorous Italian restaurant, Rosso, a pizza party from Proove and Magiamo’s served from a Fiat 500. There’s pasta from Cafe Cannoli and antipasti and fresh pasta including gluten-free options from Pasta Factory. 

Specialists in arancini, Sicilian brothers from T’arricii will be bringing multiple varieties. There’s filled pizza bread and saltimbocca from Cabrelli Brother’s. There’s even fried pizza, yes FRIED, from Salvi’s.

For dessert, there are choices from crepes from Vive le Crepe, Italian gelato from Taste It and real Italian coffee from Cafe Latino.

Drinks

Specially curated for the Festa, there’s plenty of Italian classics to keep you going all day and night.

A chic mini beer pavilion will be set up by none other than Peroni. Expect an orange corner courtesy of Aperol decked out with hammocks, Vespa seating and plenty of foosball tabs. They will be serving up Aperol Spritz at the special Festa price of 2 for £10.

No Italian Festa is complete without Limoncello, by certified Limoncello brand Limoncello Di Capri. They’ll be serving up what promises to be a new favourite summer drink; limoncello mixed with tonic and Prosecco served with mint and strawberries.

Martini is showcasing its brand new contemporary vivid red vermouth Martini Fiero with a bitter-sweet orange taste, mixed with Schweppes Tonic at just 2 for £10.

Zonin will be opening up the Prosecco and Wine Bar serving up Zonin Prosecco Cuvee 1821 and a good selection of fine Italian wines.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s even a cocktail bar serving up all the best Italian classics!

Bambini Garden

A FREE child-friendly programme of activities are set to be scheduled throughout the weekend from 11am to 6pm in a special VIP area for the little ones. Fun is guaranteed from mask making, garden games, face painting, jugglers and performers. Plus Carmella Serano Hayes will be hosting Bambini Kitchen with free fresh pasta making workshops.

Events

Festa Fiero
Kicking off with the a massive opening party on Friday 26th July, fuelled by Martini Fiero. Be sure to get there early as there is a FREE aperitivo and cocktail for the first 200 people.

Neapolitan Festa Banquet
Owner of Salvi’s will be showcasing their skills and talent to create the ultimate Neapolitan banquet filled with authentic food. There will be plenty of opportunities to pick their brains and find out all the secret tips. The live cooking extravaganza will also have Neapolitan music courtesy of a fantastic band flown over especially from Naples.

Live Italian Cookery Theatre
Between 11am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday there will be a host of Italian chefs giving guests the opportunity to learn the secrets of arguably the most popular cuisine in the world. There will be wine tasting, vegan masterclasses, music and loads more. There’s also a free event by TV star and award-winning author, Gennaro Contaldo.

Full Line Up

Festa Stage

From 11am – 11pm every day, the whole Festa will play to the soundtrack of magnificent Italian and Manchester musicians and DJs, including Compagnia SoleLuna, Music Nostra and Whoever and the Somethings.
