Holy Cow! Are these the 7 juiciest burgers in Manchester?

Now, make no mistake about it; this wasn’t an easy list to make. We had to go around some of the best burger joints in the city and sample some of the gooiest, messiest, meatiest and most delicious burgers that they had to offer.

It’s a hard job, but someone’s got to do it. So put down that low-fat rice cracker with gourmet acai butter and a sprinkling of spirulina and get a load of these instead.

The Hip-Hop one: Snoop at Big Grillie Style
Well at first we were put off by the fact that these burgers had gone viral on Instagram. After all, what does Instagram know about good burgers? Well apparently a whole damn lot. Go for the Snoop, and marvel at the cascading layer of molten cheese masking two griddle smashed beef patties, topped with streaky bacon, pickles, red onions, and house made burger sauce. You’ll be making weird awkward noises as you eat it and you’ll probably raise your hands in ecstasy once you’ve finished and say to yourself ‘those folks at Finest were right. This is probably the best burger in Manchester.’ We’re telling you. Keep an eye out on @biggrillestyle social media or head over to Joshua Brooks on Oxford road for a slice of the hype.

The ‘Size Matters’ one: The Big Manc at Solita
2 x 7oz minced chuck steak patties, iceberg, onions, home pickles, Monterey Jack cheese and Big Manc sauce. You experience this burger as one cohesive unit of human joy. Almost nothing else will ever come close to this and that’s perfectly okay. It’s the sort of fast food that makes you realise you’ve been eating the wrong kind of fast food all your life. You could share it with someone but please don’t – it’s time to go against your mum’s advice as a kid and be totally selfish.

The Latino Lover: Sloppy Juan at Luck Lust Liquor and Burn
A fresh perfectly toasted bun, a double hand-smashed wonder patty, brisket chilli, double cheeseburger sauce, lime jalapeno mayo, taco sauce, and a perfect dive bar atmosphere make the Sloppy Juan burger a force to be reckoned with. Chomp down through the layers of dripping deliciousness and rest easy knowing that you’re eating one of the best burgers in Manchester. Nay, the country. Nay, the world. Okay, we got a little carried away, still the country. They also serve up some drool-inducing bacon cheeseburger fries that’ll have you craving them with everything else you ever eat. Ever.

The Proud City one: This is Manchester at Almost Famous
This beauty should come with a warning: not for the faint hearted. It features Almost Famous’ renowned double famous cheeseburger with a generous serving of BBQ pulled pork, wonder onions and creamy peppered mayo. Sound good? Then it’s stacked with a ridiculous portion of gooey cheddar cheese and gravy chips. Yes, you read that right. If someone is on the fence about putting potato on a burger, you should go over to that fence, kick it over and tell them about the glory that is ‘This is Manchester’ at Almost Famous. There’s simply no other burger like it. You’ll be saving on your weekly shop too. You probably won’t need to eat for a week after trying one of these bad boys.
