The celebrations will run from Tuesday 5th – Sunday 10th February and the whole event is free to enter. Hatch will get a Chinese New Year makeover as the venue will be decorated with traditional red Chinese lanterns for the weekend.

Taak will be joining in the fun by promoting their Chinese tea range and serving up their first ever Chinese-style coffee for the occasion.

On Saturday 9th February there’ll also be a red envelope treasure hunt around Hatch. Red envelopes are the traditional monetary gifts given in China on days of celebration – at Hatch, these will contain special Chinese New Year Hatch treats like free street food, drinks, discounts plus some surprises too including tickets to see Mumford and Sons at the Manchester Arena.

Just turn up on Saturday and start hunting. And don’t forget to tag @hatchmcr on Insta if you find one!

There’ll also be an all-important opportunity to re-centre and rebalance as you welcome the New Year with a free Tai Chi session held on Thursday 7th Feb at 12.30pm. Those wanting to take part in the session which has limited spaces should register on Eventbrite using the button below.
