Dave Draws is a Manchester based freelance illustrator who has been doodling all his life but has started getting attention over the past few years for his quirky illustrative style and his trademark doodle maps.

Dave draws with abstract black and white doodle patterns that interweave with each other. At a previous exhibition, it was commented on that this style looked like a city from above, this gave Dave the idea for his doodle maps, Dave has now doodled cities and towns all over the world which he sells as prints on his online shop.

He has also been commissioned by various clients to do full-scale doodle map murals on walls in their offices. These full wall murals have even led to commissions from abroad with Dave travelling to Hong Kong and Hamburg to doodle on walls out there.

Dave is now moving on to something new with the introduction of his new series of ‘Peeping Toms’. These characters peer out of peepholes surrounded by his trademark doodles with some plucked straight from Dave’s weird and wonderful imagination…some you may even recognise!

Come down to Electrik and take a look through the peephole!

Launch night with pop up shop & DJs – Thursday 1st March from 7 pm and the exhibition will then run at Electrik for a further 4 weeks.
