Charity comedy night headlined by Barbara Nice in aid of local charity, Forever Manchester.

Manchester235 will be filling the house with laughter later this month with a charity comedy night – headlined by Barbara Nice – in aid of local charity, Forever Manchester.

Described as ‘a hybrid between Mrs Merton and Victoria Wood’, Barbara Nice is the comedy creation of Stockport’s Janice Connolly. Barbara will be joined on stage by some of the North West’s best comedians including Phil Ellis, Alex Boardman, Brennan Reece and Lewis Charlesworth.

The event, which is being held on Thursday 24th May at 7pm, costs just £10 per ticket.

All ticket sales for the event, which is being organised and funded by Manchester235, will go directly to Forever Manchester, the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester, to help support its on-going work in the local community.

Sophie Baxter, Manchester235 Marketing Assistant, said: “Forever Manchester’s role in strengthening the local community, creating opportunities and tackling disadvantage and exclusion is vital and we’re delighted to continue our successful relationship with them by putting on this comedy night. With all ticket sales proceeds going directly to the charity, we’re urging comedy fans to join us at what should be a hilarious night.”

Nick Massey, Forever Manchester Chief Executive, said: “We are really pleased to continue our relationship with Manchester 235. We would like to thank them for putting on some tremendous events in support of Forever Manchester.”

Forever Manchester is one of the casino’s three local nominated charities, alongside the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and The Christie.
