His last tour was in 2010, and since then he’s been doing loads of stuff including writing and acting in that Car Share programme, as well as flogging Warburton’s bread in an advert that is 15 minutes long and you’re likely to have to endure in the cinema before Thor 3 comes on.

Peter says: I really miss it. I know how lucky I am to be making television series and have really loved these past few years working on Car Share but I miss doing stand-up. As terrifying as it is, when it works there’s nothing more fun and exciting. Plus, a lot has happened in the last eight years, with Trump, Twitter and my Nan getting her front bush trimmed at the age of 96. I can’t wait to get back up on stage’

The new tour will start in April 2018 and will last right through to 2019.

Tickets for the tour go on sale Sunday 19th November at 10am
