On tour from London’s West End, this show is really one of a kind. Playing both Queen Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart, the two principle actors Stevenson and Williams trade the plays central role, decided at each performance by the toss of a coin.

Written by Friedrich Schiller, the plot tells the tale of the last days of Mary Queen of Scots in a tumultuous roller-coaster of emotion and drama. The play has women at it’s core and is politically charged in a way which is somehow timeless- which is reiterated in the pseudo-modern setting of this version.

Mary Stuart has been a sell out success down in London and has had all the critics talking.  It coming to The Lowry from 17th April-24th and there are still tickets available so do not miss- this is classic theatre at its best.
