London-based artist, Word to Mother has been making waves on the Manchester art scene following his ‘Manchester Forever’ pieces displayed at the tenth edition of Buy Art Fair in October 2017.
With a background in graffiti and illustration, his work consists of layered paintings atop pieces of salvaged wood and combines handwritten sentiments and illustrations – drawing on his years as a tattoo artist and sign writing.
On display in The Snug of the Bay Horse Tavern area from 7 pm – 9 pm, the ‘Manchester Forever’ prints have been produced in two colourways (teal and coral), each a limited edition of 25. The prints are on sale at £125 + VAT with a percentage of the proceeds donated to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
