The 7 Best Places for an NFL Sunday

If like me, you constantly find yourself looking for a dodgy stream of a 6pm Washington Redskins game whilst nursing a god awful hangover, then stop.

These Manchester bars offer all things NFL on a Sunday which means you no longer have to miss any Aaron Rodgers Hail Marys because your feed isn’t good enough!

Black Dog Ballroom NWS
Black Dog is famous for its Super Bowl parties so of course it should be your go-to for weekly NFL screenings. Plus, there’s always an abundance of American snacks and great drink offers to sweeten the deal. There’s a ton of HD screens knocking about, as well as a few pool tables to keep you and your mates entertained during the thousand time-outs and breaks between play.

Bunny Jackson’s
What do Americans love more than ‘football’? Fried stuff of course! Bunny Jackson’s is the place then, with their exquisite 10p wings and acres of hot dogs flying around, this place would make any American proud. Add on a massive menu of great cocktails, more frosty beers than you can shake a leg at and you’re in US Sports Fan heaven.

Shack Bar & Grill
Shack in the NQ has had many different iterations over the years, but has now settled on a rather entertaining bar serving up American food-stuffs and showing American sports-stuffs. They have a pretty good happy hour on Sunday nights between 4-7pm, where you can get selected pints of fizzy lager for £3.50. Add to this the blessed NFL and it’s a win-win all round. Except maybe for the bar staff.

Dive NQ
Venture down into Dive on any day and it’s likely that they’ll be showing some form of sports, whether it’s Midget Tossing on Euro Sport 4 or the NFL on a Sunday. They also have a brilliant happy hour on Sundays, with a frosty pint of Coors setting you back a cool £3.50. The American Football is just a cherry on top really.

Shooters
Okay, so heading into the deepest, darkest bowels of the Printworks is a little bit more on the commercial side, but with a giant screen and a load of drink deals to match you’re still going to be in for a pretty decent NFL Sunday down in Shooters. You can also fill your face with plenty of fried American goodies too, which will only enhance the experience.

The Courtyard
I swear by Courtyard for any sporting event because they offer a massive pitcher of lager for only £9 and wherever you look you’ll always have a screen in your eye line. It’s actually always a good laugh in Courtyard, they don’t take themselves too seriously and there’s always a great atmosphere.

The Brotherhood Of Pursuits & Pastimes
Brotherhood aims itself as a bit more of an upmarket sports experience, and so it’s a great place to book a booth with your mates, tuck into some beers and scoff some platters while watching the NFL. IN fact, they’ve got loads of proper nice food on offer, so for the real NFL Sunday experience – get tucking in, sitting in your booth with your own TV and the rest will be history!
