Adventure Awaits with Albert Schloss' Le Grand Tour

Not to be confused with that terrible TV show starring Jemery Clarkson and Richard 'The Hamster' Hammond, Albert Schloss' new season of High Gins, Touring Cocktails, Radler’s & Sommer bier and Alpine wine has been named 'The Grand Tour'.

Often referred to as a ‘rite of passage’ for many aristocratic and wealthy young men and women of the eighteenth century, the Grand Tour was an illustrious journey through Alpine countries, experiencing the sophisticated languages, culture and etiquette of European high society.

Taking this as inspiration for the summer season, Albert’s Schloss will bring the great outdoors inside, curating distant mountain cultures and abundant attractions into beautiful and charming displays of alpine meadow flowers and hanging gardens, characterised by mild winters and hot summers of The Alps. The beautiful installations have been designed by award winning Manchester florists, Frog Flowers.

Sip on the new range of gin and alpine infusions. The Grand Tour brings the grandeur of a European summer to Albert’s Schloss, embracing the great outdoors complete with daily entertainment, cook Haus and alpine inspired cocktail menus.

What this all means is that Schloss have a brand-new menu of drinks available, perfect for lounging around in the sun while eating a wiener. There’s High G&T cocktails including Pink Peppercorn & Cherry Blossom, Green Apple & Peach and what sounds like heaven – a Honeycomb & Rosemary variation.

Touring cocktails sound pretty mental and include ‘Le Grand Tour‘, a concoction of Kuro gin, Freya Woodsmoke Birch spirit, William Fox pine, apple, root bitters and rosemary. One that’s right up my street is the ‘Loot Lemon Sherbert‘ with Naud Hidden Loot spiced rum, Haydocks No 9 liqueur, Schloss’ lemon & ginger tea topped with lemonade.

There’s loads more on offer, so check out the Drinks Menu on the website or just pop in and get drinking.
