The Best Deals in Manchester for a ‘Sunday Funday’

Sometimes a Friday and Saturday night just doesn’t cut it and what you really want is a boozy Sunday afternoon filled with food and fancy drinks.

I say this, sat at my desk on a Monday morning, desperately hungover from an extremely heavy Sunday Funday. But despite having my head in a bucket, #NoRegrets. So, if you’d like to feel as deathly as I do right this second, read on!

Bunny Jacksons
10p Wings & Happy Hour
Let’s just skip all the bullshit and get straight to the point. £5 Party cocktails, £5 Bunny Boilers, £12 House wine, £16 Prosecco and £5 Frozen Daiquris, every single day between 5-9pm. Oh yeah and 10p Chicken Wings from 5pm. Bullshit averted.

El Capo
Sunday Service
If you’re planning on a Sunday Sesh with your pals, you can’t go far wrong with El Capo in the NQ – especially if you’re feeling a little bit peckish. Not only do they have a fantastic Happy Hour between 4pm and 7pm (with £5 cocktails and bottles of Sol for £2.50) but they also offer a Sunday Service with a huge mound of food consisting of a huge Burrito, Nachos, Chicken Wings, 2 Tapas and 2 Sides for only £14 each.

Brasserie Abode
Roast Dinner & Bottomless Prosecco
Probably the greatest deal in the city for your Sunday Funday, Brasserie Abode offer their Sunday Social deal every single week and I must warn you – it gets busy. The reason it gets busy is because for £25 you can get yourself a massive (and delicious) roast dinner complete with live music and bottomless prosecco for 2 hours! How good is that!?

Turtle Bay
2-4-1 Happy Hours
God love Turtle Bay and their ridiculous 2-4-1 cocktail deals. From opening til 7pm and then again at 10pm till late, you can enjoy two of your favourite cocktails for the small price of one; which also includes non-alcoholic bevs, for all you soon-to-be mommas or fitness freaks. I have genuinely lost count of how many messy nights have started in TB, but I wouldn’t go anywhere else for cheap and delicious cocktails now!

Turtle Bay, 33-35 Oxford St
Turtle Bay, 46-50 Oldham St

Dive Bar
Happy Hour
I’ll be honest, I never visited Dive much in the past. However, that’s all changed since they’ve upped their offers game in recent months. Running between 5pm and 12am every single day (except Saturday), Dive Bar run their seriously tempting Happy Hour which consist of £2.50 pints, £2.50 spirits and mixers, £10 bottles of wine and £25 bottles of Prosecco. Can’t really complain with that, can you?

The city’s best rib joint go chicken wing crazy on a Sunday with their 666 Wings deal. It’s nice and easy. Crazy Ped’s is the coolest joint in town, meaning they have a super cool Happy Hour to complement their already awesome reputation. Maybe you just popped in for a slice of their iconic pizza, or maybe you fancied a game of Beer Pong with the gang. Either way, why not make the most of the 2-4-1 cocktails, £8 bottle of ‘Cheap Plonk’ and discounted food, between the hours of 5-9pm, Sunday-Friday? Sounds ped-ticularly tempting, if you ask me.

If your civilised Sunday Funday turns seshy, there’s only one place to go. Obviously its Liars Club- where else would you go for cheap drinks and cheesy music? With 2 for £10 cocktails, 1/3 off sharing cocktails, £8 bottles of Wine and selected £2.50 beers on offer, you’ll just be lying to yourself if you say you don’t wanna go… Trust me, this offer is almost as good as my puns.

Revolucion de Cuba
2-4-1 Cocktails & Tapas
The problem with Happy Hour is they usually only last a couple of hours. However, that’s not the case at Revolucion de Cuba. They offer 2-4-1 cocktails and tapas, ALL DAY, EVERY SUNDAY. Seriously, this isn’t a joke guys – you could have a day of food, booze and banter with your mates for next-to-nothing, and you could do this every Sunday till your heart’s content. Personally, I recommend the Frozen Strawberry Daiquiris- they are to.die.for!
