Hundreds of Manchester’s romancers, chancers and kick ass dancers turned out for the launch of the Southern Quarter’s hottest new party venue: The Function Room above Odder on Oxford Road.

The new 300 capacity venue, taking over what once was Upstairs at Odder, made it’s mark firmly on the city’s club scene with a packed out launch party showcasing regular new Thursday hip hop night More Bounce. It doesn’t end there, tonight is the launch of monthly Murkage night Overproof playing soca, reggae and bashment til 4am. The Function Room has had full on club fit out, state of the art Funktion-One sound system, and a Wednesday to Saturday line up that spans the best of hip hop, funk, disco, electro and house.

DJ Lee Majors hosts regular Thursday hip hop night More Bounce and Friday and Saturday nights have Murkage, Thank FUNK, Consortium, Chips With Everything, Disco Transisco and Clique on rotation. All of which means The Function Room is THE intimate party venue in the Southern Quarter, with a consistently spot on soundtrack delivered by the city’s premier DJs and promoters.
