Get Night Fever this Saturday with added Bee-Gee's & Disco!

The idea behind this night at The Whiskey Jar is simple. They pick a seminal album from 1970’s or 80’s in the genre of disco, soul and funk, and then the DJ’s and artists play around that album. Good eh!?

This Friday 2nd March the album in question will be Saturday Night Fever by the Bee Gee’s, one of the group’s most memorable and best selling albums and one that helped cement them as a household name.

The soundtrack for the film starring John Travolta (which is much darker than many would think), is still the biggest selling movie soundtrack of all time and is one that the brothers’ Gibb confess to writing “virtually in a single weekend”. That’s talent right there.

Fun Fact- Did you know the Bee Gee’s were from Chorlton? Somehow that doesn’t seem right but let’s run with it. The local line up consists of Gideon Conn, Playground MCR, Taylor and the Mason and will be followed by the Afro-beat sounds of Disco Disco late into the night.
