As a world-renowned odd-pizza creator, Crazy Pedro has a lot to live up to when it comes to his monthly specials. Last month we tried their excellent Surf and Turf, and continuing the beach/sea/fish theme – June sees the introduction of the California Dreamin.
Taking inspiration from the California roll of the Japanese variety, this crustacean creation comprises crab meat, sliced avocado, cucumber, sesame seeds and well-known mouth-tingler Wasabi, all dreamily placed on top of Crazy Pedro’s unique base, freshly made in-house every single day.
On top of this, you can conjure up the essence of sunnier times by washing it down with a thirst-quenching frozen Mango and Chilli Margarita or a shot of the bar’s signature Tequila, the UK’s first Double Barrel Reposado Tequila, by Tequila Herradura.
In fact, this Sunday saw Crazy Pedro’s receive quite possibly the best advertising known to man; Justin Bieber cruised round the Bridge Street location after the One Love concert and ordered the California Dreamin – so I think it’s safe to say that every single person under the age of 17 knows all about it by now.
As if Bieber’s endorsement wasn’t enough, Crazy Pedro’s was recently awarded a place on a list of the ‘World’s Craziest Pizzas’ by esteemed American publication ‘TIME’ for its ‘I am the resurEGGtion’, a 10″ pizza covered with chocolate sauce, sprinkled with marshmallows, brownie, meringue and topped with a soft creme egg.
