The Daisy will provide a new co-working space and lounge, perfect for working remotely whilst enjoying a cup of Ozone coffee by day, with cocktail creations and one of Manchester’s most unique wine lists curated by Newcomer’s Peter Honegger by night. Events are planned to take place throughout the year.
The interior of the space combines relaxed styling with an industrial chic French presence, complemented by mid-century reclaimed furniture, mosaic monochrome tiles, and a pink Daisy neon sign; creating a casual eclectic environment. The space is set to add another dimension to the neighbourhood.
Sax Arshad – Founder of The Daisy said: “We are excited to be able to create this space in Manchester’s Northern Quarter following the reception of Evelyn’s a couple of years ago and continuing the family’s ties with hospitality since Mughli in 1991 and further still when the family used to own Jimmy’s night club in the city during the late 70’s.
“London has many of these types of member venues and I think it will work really well here. Soho House recently pulled back on bringing a ‘House’ to Manchester and replaced it with a diner style operation, or so I’ve heard. One day I would love to work on that style of hotel, bar and restaurant operation. The Smithfield Buildings are iconic and well-known in Manchester. Using the industrial features in the basement, we worked to enhance it with a natural ‘upgrade’ rather than a forced one. The intimate two floors will hopefully make you forget about the time, and spend the entire day there.”
The Daisy will host an open month following the launch on the 1st February. All visitors are welcome to check out the new venue. The Daisy membership benefits will only be available to paying members during the open month.
The Daisy will be opened daily from Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 18:00pm, and evening’s from Wednesday to Saturday – 18:00pm until late.
