The Bay Horse Tavern get all Christmassy!

Having only recently opened at the end of October, The Bay Horse Tavern on Thomas Street manages to offer a traditional boozer atmosphere with the kind of cool you'd come to expect from somewhere right in heart of the NQ.

With a wide range of locally brewed beer, specialist Manchester gins, wines and cocktails, they also serve up some pretty special food, including their fantastic Rotisserie Roast Chicken, bob-on Scotch Eggs and one of the best beef butties I’ve ever had in my life.

Now that it’s Christmas though they’ve mixed up their menu, as you’d expect, and luckily for anyone with a mouth and an appetite – they’ve included some Rotisserie Roasted Turkey.

Guests can choose from Christmas lunch, served with all the trimmings – available daily 12:00pm – 4:00pm with two courses for £15.50 or three courses for £19.50, or Christmas dinner – available daily from 4:30pm – 9:00pm with two courses for £19.50 or three courses for £23.50.

The menu includes some great British classics including a tempting quiche selection, the classic prawn cocktail or a ham hock terrine.

Moving on to the main event though, there’s a choice of the aforementioned rotisserie basted turkey with cranberry sauce, ribeye of beef with horseradish or a mushroom wellington with vegetarian gravy.

To finish off proceedings, a winter berry crumble, tart tatin or sticky toffee pudding – served with custard or vanilla ice cream.
