In recent years, English sparkling wine has started to emerge as the UK wine style receiving the most attention. The ale Vineyard Sparkling Chardonnay 2003 beat off stiff competition from fine Champagnes and top sparkling wines to make it into the world’s Top Ten Sparkling Wine at the world’s only dedicated sparkling wine competition, French-based Effervescents du Monde (sparkling wines of the world) 2007.
The Chapel Down English Sparkling Wine Dinner begins at 7:00pm with aperitifs, where you will meet your fellow guests, The Lowry Hotel hosts and of course the wine experts who will be guiding you through this most enjoyable evening.
Dinner is served at 7:30pm in the River Restaurant’s intimate Private Dining Room, each course of your meal has been designed to complement the rare and exclusive wines that you will be enjoying. Their wine experts will provide you with the history of the vineyards and insider information on all the wines you will be sampling.
