Following its roaring success in Leeds and Liverpool, the £2m investment at The Avenue, Spinningfields, is inspired by the stylish high-end restaurants to be found in the dynamic, cosmopolitan cities of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

The expanding City District group behind Fazenda has created 62 jobs at the 1,800 sq. ft. location, which has 178 covers (which includes three private dining rooms with a total of 38 covers).

Diners at Fazenda enjoy freshly-grilled joints of meats, ‘churrascaria’-style (‘from the barbecue’) carved from joints at the table with exceptional standards of service.

The impressive bar area has 44 covers, and together with the outdoors terrace for 50 is a great location to enjoy the award-winning cocktail list.

Fazenda offers 15 different cuts of beef, chicken, lamb and pork, while a bountiful salad bar caters for all diners, with options including sushi, smoked salmon, cured meats, hot dishes and traditional Brazilian dishes.

A selection of these dishes can be seen on Fazenda’s lunch menu, available from the set price of £17.30. The extended menu laid out for evenings is available from the set price of £27.30 while children dine from discounted prices, with those under 5 eating for free.

Fazenda’s continuous tableside service style is already familiar in the UK, but Fazenda is a cut above the rest with its unique offer of fillet, rib eye and sirloin, alongside its signature, the cap of rump or ‘picanha’, the main cut in Brazil.

Fazenda makes the experience easy and enjoyable with a set price under which diners signal to the ‘passadores’ (meat chefs) by displaying a green card to be served, or red card for ‘pause’.

Fazenda not only offers a great meat selection but has a driven passion for wines. A temperature-controlled wine room will show off the carefully selected wines, a key ingredient for the Fazenda experience. All staff are trained to highest standards to advise customers on the best wines to accompany the dishes.

First in Leeds and then in Liverpool, Fazenda has been a resounding success and the reviewers’ bible Trip Advisor displays impressively high rankings for both.

General Manager Tomas Maunier, an Argentine overseeing the Manchester launch, says: “At Fazenda we are keeping the tradition of the Gaucho alive, slowly grilling large pieces of meat in the way it has been done for centuries.

“With our authentic South American background, we offer a unique Gaucho-style dining experience at the highest level. The response so far in Manchester has been fantastic, and we look forward to repeating the success we have enjoyed in other Northern cities.”
