10 Places to get a Bottomless Boozy Brunch in Manchester

Of course there are many, many fantastic places in the city for brunch, but we are interested in the ones offering bottomless booze to help us out of our hungover stupor. So check it out; somewhere to take your half-pissed up, embarrassing face on a Saturday or Sunday for a bit of the hair of the dog that bit you.

Cottonopolis
Quite possibly my favourite brunch in the city, not only is Cottonopolis’ range of dishes brilliant, they also serve up a mean Bloody Mary that will have you clicking your fingers like a very rude man every 10 minutes or so to get a top up. The choice of Brunch dishes is pretty extensive, with a ‘Waffles’ section and a ‘Specials’ section on the menu. Waffles are of course of the Belgian kind and not the Bird’s Eye kind, and come generously topped with a variety of sweet or savoury toppings. Similarly, the ‘Specials’ choice consists of more traditional Brunch fare, but with a Japanese-Cottonopolis twist. Basically, buy their Pork Belly & Poached Egg Waffles, bottomless Bloody Mary’s and have the best Sunday ever.

Brasserie Abode
Okay so this isn’t brunch at all. It’s a Sunday Dinner. But considering the fact that you’ll probably be waking up at 1pm anyway, as well as the added benefit of the Sunday Lunch being the King of Dinners – Sunday Social’s at Brasserie Abode have made the list. In simple terms, it’s a Sunday Roast with unlimited Prosecco for only £25 per person and there’s even a DJ playing to help everything go down that little bit smoother. From when you order the Prosecco is bottomless for 2 hours, and it’s available between 12.30 and 5.30pm every Sunday. Best to book beforehand.

Black Dog Ballroom
Everyone’s favourite New York style bar has decided to transform the people of Manchester into New York style fatties by offering another chance to get drunk and eat after spending all night getting drunk and eating. Their Bottomless Brunch runs every Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 4pm. For £25 you can choose any dish from the brunch menu and bottomless Bloody Marys, Mimosas, lager or wine. Brunch options include a full English brekkie, chicken and bacon waffles, American pancakes plus plenty more.

All Star Lanes
This smooth floored, bowling emporium offers a Bottomless Craft Beer Brunch between 12pm and 4pm every Saturday and Sunday. Basically all you need to do is order a dish from the Brunch menu (starting from £8), and you can add bottomless beers for £20 per person. The Brunch menu includes such artery-clogging dishes as Fried Chicken & Waffles, and Salt Beef Hash while beers include Brooklyn, Beavertown and Boulevard. If you’re not into beer because it’s “too yeasty” then you can also pay £19 for bottomless Prosecco or Mimosas. To book email brunch@allstarlanes.co.uk

The Bay Horse Tavern
The Bay Horse Tavern have introduced a brilliant Bottomless Brunch to help you get over your hangover on the weekend. Available every Saturday and Sunday, the Bottomless offer gives you the choice of one of the dishes from their menu, plus bottomless drinks for only £27.50. They’ve got all of your breakfast favourites including the Full English (which was sublime I should add), Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs and everyone’s flavour of the month – Avocado & Poached Egg on Toast. Drinks wise – they offer Prosecco, Bloody Mary, Irish Coffee, Mimosa, House Wine, Bottled Beer or Hot & Cold Soft Drinks. Brilliant. Considering most places only usually offer either fizz or Bloody Mary’s – being able to sup some lager while eating a Full English is one of life’s true pleasures. Even better when they’re bottomless.

Pen and Pencil
Northern Quarter, exposed brick-toting, bar and restaurant Pen and Pencil have decided to get in on the act by offering an All Inclusive Free Flow Brunch for anyone tough enough to want it. For £40 you can have as many drinks and as much food as you can stuff in your pie hole, although they are keen to stress that it should only be one drink and dish per person at any one time. So on the last Saturday of each month from 10am to 1pm you can head down and take advantage of this generous offer. The booze on offer includes the usual suspects of Prosecco, Bloody Marys, Mimosas, lager and cocktails. To reserve a table email at info@thepenandpencilnq.co.uk

Menagerie
The bar and restaurant equivalent of Joan Collins at the Oscars, Menagerie is offering a Social Sunday offering of unlimited drinks & breakfast plates for £40 per person. Once you’ve managed to scrape your face off your pillow, you can enjoy 2 breakfast plates per person including Avocado Toast, Eggs Benedict and Menagerie French Toast plus unlimited Mimosas, Proseccos or Bloody Marys. You’ve then got yourself a brilliant day surrounded by the kind of decadence that would make Liberace embarrassed. Head over to their website to get yourself booked in – they’ll definitely sell out.

Cloud 23
Cloud 23 makes this list not just because the views on a Sunday morning from the 23rd Floor are most likely pretty breath-taking, but they’re also offering bottomless Gin & Tonics to go with your eggs and that is a genius move. Available every Saturday & Sunday between 9am and 12pm, you’ll have to set your alarm early (or just not go to bed?) but once you’re up there you can choose one of their brunch dishes (starting from £6) and then pay £20 for bottomless booze. There’s Bloody Marys, Bellinis and of course – Audrey Roberts’ favourite tipple.

Gaucho
It may sound like an Ibiza-fuelled nightmare for some, but there are plenty of people out there who will absolutely love a “fusion of cool beats, melodic tunes and bassy rhythms” while shovelling food and booze into their faces. Gaucho’s Electro Brunch is £45 and for this you get unlimited dishes and drinks, including Bloody Marys, Aperol Spritz, lager and sparkling wine. There’s a big long list of delicious dishes to choose from too – my favourites include Beans on Toast (with Spanish chorizo), Gaucho Benedict with salt beef and the classic Bacon butty. Again, they insist on one drink per person, at any one time which is fair enough. I’d only end up taking a thermos with me if they didn’t.

The offer is available every Saturday between 11am and 4pm.

The Refinery
If you find yourself in Spinningfields on a weekend between 10am and 3pm then get yourself into The Refinery for their Bottomless Brunch. Once you order something from their Brunch menu, its only an extra £15 for unlimited Bellinis or Bloody Marys. Dishes include a full English brekkie, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and avocado on sourdough. The same stuff that everyone offers for brunch to be honest. There must be an avocado farmer somewhere in Mexico who is now richer than the Queen. Well done to him. Or her. Again, you had best book in advance for this, and the offer is valid for 2 hours after your booking time to stop you setting up camp under a table.
