Most places will be knocking out their usual bog standard Christmas offerings, so we wanted to find somewhere that was doing things a little differently – Eat New York’s Bagel Shop has launched a Christmas menu of epic proportions which manages to satisfy our festive cravings in the most creative, modern and trendy way we think we’ve ever seen.

They’re doing a starter, a main with a side, a dessert and a drink for £30. Now let’s get onto the food…

Kick things off with the Parsnip and Truffle Soup finished with a mini bagel crouton, or the House Cured Salmon served with baked beetroot, horseradish and Crème Fraiche. The Smoked Duck Salad is a real winner also – finished with pomegranate and pistachio – this dish is a little taster of the great things to come.

In true Eat New York style, the main options are all festive twists on their famous bagels and sandwiches. Their Turkey Reuben – made with smoked turkey, pastrami, stuffing, Russian dressing, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut – is the Christmas butty re-vamp you never knew you needed.

They also have a pretty righteous French Dip Sandwich made with rare sirloin of beef, chestnut puree, horseradish, ale fried onions and with a puddle of delicious beef gravy on the side for dipping. Yeah… that tastes as good as it sounds in case you were wondering.

Veggies and Vegans aren’t left out either with the breaded Camembert bagel which is cheese-porn at its best and the wild mushroom bagel which is 100% cruelty-free.

Alongside one of these sandwiches, you will get a little something on the side. Choose from Loaded Turkey Poutine, Tempura vegetables or Frickles (deep-fried pickles) in blankets. The real show stopper are the Roast Potato Fries, however – a hybrid of a chip and a roast potato and topped off with sea salt and a pot of gravy for dipping. I’m literally salivating just thinking about them.

On to dessert, tuck into a Cranberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake, Mince Pie Spring Rolls or a Bagel Bread and Butter Pudding to name but a few. Wash this down with wine, beer or a cocktail and you will leave feeling merrier than Santa Claus on Boxing Day.

This menu is a refreshing new take on festive food – and it makes the perfect place for your Xmas doo if you are looking for something a little bit different.

Book your table now, ya filthy animals!
