AnOther magazine’s 10th birthday party at Selfridges last night,
with Editor-in-Chief Jefferson Hack and Selfridges’ Creative Director Alannah Weston

Eat The Designers is a fantasy celebration of food and fashion created by AnOther Magazine Editor-in-Chief Jefferson Hack in which ten of the worlds most Innovative chefs and cake-makers bring to life culinary birthday creations designed by ten leading fashion houses. All the cakes are displayed In Selfridges’ Concept Store from Thursday 17 February to Monday 21 February 2011.
Guests were invited to view the cakes on display In Selfridges’ Concept Store, followed by the launch party In the Ultralounge at Selfridges last night.
The centrepiece of the party was the cake designed by Alber Elbaz for Lanvin, a revolving three lier, eight foot tall cake created by Bompas & Parr (AKA The Jellymongers), using over half a tonne of sugar, from which a drag queen emerged to wish AnOther Magazine a happy birthday.
A DJ Sel from La Roux kept the crowd dancing until the small hours.
Guests were served birthday party favourites including popping candy, chocolate cigarettes, candy floss and popcorn. A Candy Shop created by Lounge Bohemia served toothpaste tubes of mint infused rum with creme de cacao and peas as well as candy inspired cocktail experiences such as vodka liquorice spaghetti and Cuba Libre jelly cubas.
