Cottonopolis will be opening this year’s Manchester Food & Drink Festival dome with a spectacular two night Secret Supper Event on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th September.

The Secret Supper series has been gaining national acclaim for taking its immersive dining experiences to the next level. Past dinner themes at the Cottonopolis site include Steampunk, Cyber Punk (heavily influenced by Blade Runner) and Japanese Horror.

Now, Cottonopolis will be leaving their home to bring a dining experience to a pop-up venue at MFDF. In the most ambitious project to date, the Visual Architects will be transforming the Dining Dome in the heart of the festival hub to create an incredible background for the evening.

The experience will be based around the Japanese cult classic film Battle Royale. Released in 2000 it tells the story of 42 ninth grade students forced to fight to the death by the Japanese government under the ‘Battle Royale’ act. The film was a precursor to the hugely successful Hunger Games series.

Hosted by Sensei Kitano, the unique 6 course menu has been created by the Cottonopolis Head Chef Joe Grant and will begin with a glass of Prosecco on arrival. Do not let this one pass you by- it is set to be an experience you’ll never forget.
