With cupcake fever sweeping Britain; it was only a matter of time before a much needed cupcake business set up shop in Manchester.
As an avid (slightly bordering obsessive) cupcake fan, an actual squeal of delight could be heard from the Princess Palace when informed the news Hey Little Cupcake would be opening in Spinningfields. Even more delight when told I could attend the VIP opening for Manchesters Finest.
Perfectly located next to Nandos, Hey Little Cupcake has a real kitsch, Cath Kidston feel inside. We are handed a small key and mini cupcakes walking in; I feel like Alice in Wonderland.
We exchange our keys for gorgeous cocktails made by trendy new bar The Alchemist; which even have frozen orchids in them- very chic and sassy. The cupcakes were delicious! Smooth, creamy icing. Light fluffy cake. Each one freshly baked and gorgeously designed!
I managed to steal a couple of minutes with Sarah, the owner, who tells me there is lots on offer from flavours of the month, mini cupcakes, giant cupcakes perfect for a birthday cake and even wedding cupcakes. I think it’s safe to say my bikini body will now be well out of reach with this gorgeous store on my doorstep!
Hey Little Cupcake definitely pulled out all the stops for their launch and everyone should pop in on their lunch break for a little taste of heaven!
