The Refuge presents their first ever Christmas Carol!

The Refuge are proud to announce their 2018 Christmas Calendar, a programme of events offering a special festive selection of food and drink, music and art that will encapsulate all that is Merry with Manchester.

Positioned within one of Manchester’s most iconic buildings, The Refuge has become synonymous with stunning food and drink, a venue where modern design has been carefully woven into the fabric of the historic building.

On the Thursday 22nd November, The Refuge Christmas Carol will start the countdown to the festive season!

Halle Ancoats Community Choir will be performing in the restaurant foyer for passers-by on Oxford Road while resident Christmas Town Hall Crier, Luke Cowdrey will also officially turn on the festive lights and announce the launch of the Refuge Christmas Carol.

The evening will be hosted by Forever Manchester and the much loved Manchester-based graphic designer, Trevor Johnson, putting together a Christmas pop-up shop filled with one-off graphic design prints, from the famed Hacienda designer.

Waterhouse Way has been transformed into an undercover and heated snug area, with a Christmas Carol Bar. Guests can escape to the outdoor courtyard to nestle in the heart of a hidden Victorian street.

The outdoor space will be full of buskers singing festive songs after work in Waterhouse Way from the 30th November.

On Sunday 2nd December, Our Kid Social is bringing family delights with a kids Christmas party hosted by Santa Claus himself, children of all ages can indulge in the seasonal festivities and engage in creative workshops.

Across 14th, 15th, 16th December, The Refuge will become a cosy and fun place to watch two cult status Christmas movies, such as Elf and an interactive spin the 1984 classic film, Gremlins, presented by the gang at Make-A-Scene.

On to the food offering, The Refuge Christmas Feast is a nod to Victorian Britain traditions, gathering all family and friends for great food and cheer for the soul. The festive set menu offers hearty and merry twists which are served in a sharing style.
