This month sees the UK tour of soul and R&B legends The S.O.S. Band, and they’ll be bringing their string of 80s hits to the Manchester Academy on 23rd November. With support from Gwen Dickey and Carl McIntosh of Loose Ends, it promises to be a really special night.
The US group are probably most famous this side of the pond for ‘Just be good to me’, the 1983 smash that was subsequently remixed by Norman Cook’s Beats International as ‘Dub be good to me’. We’ve always had a soft spot for ‘The Finest’ though, must be something in the name.
