Distinct, unmistakable and insular, Vision Fortune concoct a music that triggers an intriguing visual state, cinematic images forming from a sound that harnesses precision minimalist counter melodies and rhythmic hypnosis with disorientating production techniques.

Recorded during an intense two-month research residency, generously funded by the Cuatroquesos Foundation, in the idyllic yet remote region of Tuscany, Italy, Country Music is both a significant development and audible departure from the sound of the band’s debut Mas Fiestas con el Grupo Vision Fortune.

Described as “impressively brutal” by the NME in their 8/10 review, the band says of the album, “It was pretty isolated and things got weird after a while – whether this shows in the music is up to the listener.” They suggest listening to Country Music “in your living room, on a large speaker system (preferably with the addition of a few bass bins), late at night, feeling apprehensive, possibly naked, the heating cranked to max, drinking a White Russian, Carlito’s Way playing on the TV (on mute), squatting in a paddling pool filled with lukewarm water. Otherwise a decent pair of headphones will do.”
