Faze2 are proud to announce the inception of the Masterclass Workshops events in partnership with SSR Manchester, the UK’s leading sound and media production training college.
The first event to be confirmed is an exclusive “Masterclass Workshops” day taking place at the SSR Manchester on Saturday 6th October with artists from the Faze2 roster including AQUASKY, HEAVYFEET and BIRDEE
Having established itself as an international booking and touring agency over the past nine years, Faze2 and their partners are striking out into the educational market with this, the first of an ongoing series of Masterclass events led by world renowned DJ/Producers from the FAZE2 roster of artists.
Over 8 hours – Hands-on workshops limited to a maximum of 20 students per class will be given interactive access to production skills used by today’s breed of producers; as well as invaluable industry knowledge and advice; a unique chance to directly absorb techniques and practices employed by the artists themselves in a well established learning environment, complete with top of the line equipment and software.**
The masterclasses will take place in SSR’s fully equipped Mac suites, PC suites and Live Venue. In the computer based masterclasses each person will have their own individual workstation, complete midi keyboard/controller and all the software and all the software, Faze2/Lopmasters/Monstersounds exclusive samplepack, and plug-ins required for the session
Price is set at £110 pounds and places are STRICTLY limited.

With over 17 years in the music industry, Keiron Bailey alongside partners Brent Newitt and Dave Wallace (collectively known as Aquasky) have been credited with the invention of the Bassline Breaks sub genre. The workshop includes:
How to get the full DIRTyness from bass sounds, getting HUGE bass sound, layering, Programming synths/sampler sounds, editing in track arrangements, perfecting the mix of bass sounds in tunes.

MIKE BURGESS AND JAMES MEDINA (HEAVYFEET – Stamp! beats)
Style skills
As new sub genres come to the boil, house music production is twisted into new, original forms. HeavyFeet’s workshop will showcase key production techniques which has seen them amalgamate house with hip-hop, grime, pop, broken beat and more,
aiding them to develop a wide ranging skill-set in the studio. Essential for any new producer keen on creating their own cutting edge, genre blending music of tomorrow!

MARCELLO DE ANGELIS (BIRDEE – Southern Fried)
Over the years Birdee has been involved with labels as diverse as IRMA, OXYD, and GLOBAL UNDERGROUND; he has released 2 albums and countless singles and licenced his music to over ten compilations including Cream Ibiza mixed by Laidback Luke. Birdee’s workshop will be focusing on some of the techniques he uses on his tracks, including: creative sidechaining, working with Ultrabeat, creating french style synth stabs, chopping up disco loops, and creative use of delay and effects.
He will also be taking a look at the his remix of Speaker Bomb’s Ghetto House and will be recreating it step by step in the workshop.

Brent will be joined by Stevie Mac, Managing Director of Faze2 Agency, touching upon issues around agency representation and artist management.
