White Denim | 15th Feb | Albert Hall
White Denim is an American four-piece rock band from Austin, Texas. Two years on from their comeback album supreme, ‘Stiff’, singer-guitarist James Petralli and bassist Steve Terebecki have changed tack again for their seventh full-length, ‘Performance’. A new studio, new collaborators, and new techniques for writing and recording influenced the elastic possibility and liberation felt throughout. Chvrches | 14th & 15th Feb | Victoria Warehouse
The Glaswegian trio are touring their new album ‘Love is Dead’ and play a double header at Victoria Warehouse. The synth-poppers are going from strength to strength since forming in 2011 and are now looking to launch himself into the mainstream. Lead singer Lauren Mayberry’s vocals are mesmeric at times and their live shows are full of energy. The new album ‘manages to balance hopeful, utopian pop with a darker, gloomier undercurrent’. Jungle | 15th Feb | Manchester Academy
Jungle are back!! Following the immense success of their self-titled debut album, the neo-soul duo have announced that their sophomore effort, For Ever, was released last year. In support of their new music, the London natives will be hitting the road with their seven-strong collective. The British soul collective Jungle return to the Academy, for a massive sold out gig. Keep a lookout for face value resale.

Elliot John Gleave (born 20 June 1982), better known by his stage name Example, is a British dance artist singer and rapper signed to Data Records. His name arose due to his initials being E.G., which is an abbreviation of the Latin phrase exempli gratia (“for example”) Example first found success with the release of his second album, Won’t Go Quietly, which peaked at number 4 on the UK Albums Chart. The album had two top 10 singles, “Won’t Go Quietly” and “Kickstarts”. His third album Playing in the Shadows was released on 4 September 2011. The album debuted at number 1 on the UK Album Charts with two number 1 singles, “Changed the Way You Kiss Me” and “Stay Awake”. Professor Green | 17th Feb | Gorilla
Established as one of the crossover superstars of British music, the Hackney born and raised rapper, Professor Green (aka Stephen Manderson), has notched up two Top 3 albums and over 3.5 million combined sales in the UK alone since starting out as a revered battle MC. All in addition to presenting six critically acclaimed documentaries (for the BBC and Channel 4), publishing his autobiography ‘Lucky’, continuing his ongoing work as Patron of anti-suicide charity CALM, and, most recently, becoming a regular columnist for newly launches men’s title, The Book of Man. The Lemon Twigs | 21st Feb | Ritz
Brother duo, The Lemon Twigs have set the bar dizzyingly high with their second full-length, Go To School, a 15-strong extravaganza that takes you on a musical journey of contemporary rock. With a full story weaving between each song, it’s an album that will truly come to life when performed on stage. The D’Addario return after a sold out show at the Deaf Institute, they are bringing their 70’s style rock to the Ritz. They’ve been supporting Arctic Monkeys on their recent UK tour, if you haven’t watched Lemon Twigs before, they are well worth the admission fee for this one. RY X | 21st Feb | Manchester Cathedral
Australian singer-songwriter and musician Ry Cuming, better known by his stage name RY X, found commercial success with his sparse, atmospheric single lead single “Berlin,” charted in the U.K. Top 40 following the aforementioned European Sony advertising campaign. After touring extensively as the vocalist for electronic act The Acid, RY X settled into his studio to work on his debut solo-album Dawn, which saw release in 2016. RY X has announced the release of his much–anticipated new album, Unfurl, available 15 February 2019 via Infectious. Steve Aoki | 23rd Feb | Victoria Warehouse
Steve Aoki is back!! With a lengthy UK tour this year. EDM Kingpin Steve Aoki comes to Manchester, you can’t argue with his repertoire he’s collaborated with some of the best in business, will.i.am, Afrojack, LMFAO, Linkin Park, Iggy Azalea, Lil Jon, blink-182, Laidback Luke. His shows are a novelty at best, lots of chatting, some cheesy left side cheer, right side cheer chants and more than likely a cake being thrown. If that’s your thing get on it. Sam Fender | 25th Feb | Gorilla
Everyone is talking about him, it’s Sam Fender and he is back playing a slightly larger venue than the previous Soup Kitchen, this time it’s under the arches at Gorilla. Sam Fender is a quickly emerging songwriter who was named as one of BBC Sound Of 2018 alongside the likes of Sigrid and Khalid.
