Last year marked the 40th anniversary of Paul Weller’s first album release, The Jam’s ‘In The City’ which he released with The Jam in May 1977. Paul Weller returns to Manchester Arena to celebrate and for his 13th album release ‘A Kind Revolution.’ Support band for the show comes from The Strypes. Last few tickets available.
Gilles Peterson | 02 March | Gorilla
Worldwide FM founder and BBC 6Music DJ Giles Peterson takes over at the arches for a special night of worldly music. Expect anything and everything for this one. Elbow | 04 March | Arena
The Bury band Elbow are back in town. The tour dates extend the ‘Little Fictions’ tour following a run of sold out theatre shows in March 2017 which included four sell out shows at the Apollo.

Editors | 05 March | Manchester Cathedral
A couple of weeks ago the Editors invited twelve fans to join them for an exclusive first play of their brand new album ‘Violence’ at a secret location in Surrey. Jake Bugg | 05 March | Albert Hall
Five years ago, this acerbic singer-songwriter was transparently a major talent when, aged just 18, his debut album topped the UK chart and went on to go double-platinum. The Nottingham boy is back, and he’s going acoustic. His solo acoustic UK tour kicked off in November, he has a further 16 UK and Ireland dates this spring. The tour brings him to Manchester for a very special gig at the Albert Hall in support of his new album ‘Hearts That Strain’. Pale Waves | 06 March | Gorilla
Pale Waves are an English indie pop band who formed in Manchester 2014. The rising Manchester four piece are currently recording their debut album and touring all spring into the festival season. The tour will be their biggest so far. Check out their four song EP ‘All the Things I Never Said’ and their new single ‘New Years Eve’ and then get yourself over to Gorilla on the 6th March to see them live. The multinational eight-piece Superorganism uploaded their pop track ‘Something For Your M.I.N.D’ online, Spotify added it to their New Music playlist in Jan 2017 and it racked up millions of steams at which point the band was unknown to the music world. All eight members are now living together in London with a record deal and a debut album out this month. This exciting new band play a gig at Gorilla. Last few tickets left. Be quick.
Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox | 07 March | Albert Hall
A rotating musical collective founded by arranger and pianist Scott Bradlee in 2011, Postmodern Jukebox have managed to get themselves over 900m YouTube views and have been touring all over the world with their Jazz, Swing and Ragtime tunes. They take some of the biggest and best songs known to man and really make them their own.

Manchester lads Everything Everything are back with a new tour, new album ‘A Fever Dream’ and probably a few new haircuts. Formed in 2007, since then they’ve been shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize as well as being nominated 3 times for an Ivor Novello. This gig at the Apollo should be a great homecoming.
Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry | 09 March | Band On The Wall
The king of dub reggae, and one of the greatest reggae producers ever, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry is heading to Band on the Wall this March to bring his unique sounds and voice. Now in this 80’s, this legend can still band out a cracking show so prepared to be amazed. Supported by DJ Mikey Don.

London based singer songwriter Jade Bird is a rising star, BBC Music, have her listed in ‘Sound of 2018. Jade is gigging around the country with her distinctive voice and debut EP ‘Something American. She is certainly one to watch out for, get down to the Eagle Inn and check her out.

The Liverpool trio are back, they kicked off their tour in the US in January with their brand new album ‘Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life’ released last month. The Wombats are in town this month with two sold out shows at the Academy. Pick up your face value tickets from twickets.
Rae Morris | 17 March | Gorilla
Twenty one year old Rachel Anne Morris from Blackpool is back playing Gorilla, and it’s a sell out! Rachel began writing her own songs, and quickly got a deal from Atlantic, when she was just 18-years-old! By 2014 Morris began working on her debut album and released several EP’s in the run up to its release. The record came out in 2015, titled ‘Unguarded’. She’s since spent the next few years touring and writing in preparation for new album ‘Someone Out There’, which has ventured into more electronic territory. It’s a sell out gig but you can still get your hands on a ticket through resale websites at face value.
Tom Grennan | 22 March | Ritz
Born in Bedford but based in London, singer-songwriter Tom Grennan first found fame as the guest vocalist on Chase & Status’s track ‘When It All Goes Wrong’ from then he played in Radio 1 Live lounge and Jools Holland. Tom has been giging ever since. He is just about to release his much anticipated debut album ‘Lighting Matches’ out this month along with a run of UK headline shows for 2018. Check out his latest single ‘Royal Highness’, which Radio 1’s Annie Mac premiered as the Hottest Record in the World. He is big at the moment so it’s a sold out gig at the Ritz, but you can join the waiting list for any unwanted face value tickets.

The Fratellis | 23 March | Manchester Academy
Glasgow trio The Fratellis are back with a new tour and a new album. The band’s 5th album ‘In Your Own Sweet Time’ will be released on 9th March 2018 before heading out on a full UK tour. The Fratelllis had phenomenal success with their debut album ‘Costello Music’ entering the U.K Album Chart at number 2, and went on to win the Best British Breakthrough Act at the Brit Awards in 2007.

Jayceon Terrell Taylor, better known by his stage name The Game, American Grammy Award winning gangsta rapper who rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, and his two Grammy nominations. Since then he has released several other critically acclaimed albums, 2006’s Doctor’s Advocate and 2008’s LAX, which he claimed to be the final album he would release, but in mid-2009 he started recording The RED Album, which was released August 23, 2011. Ady Suleiman returns to Manchester after an amazing sold out show at The Deaf Institute. He’s just announced the release of his debut album ‘Memories’ on 9th March 2018. Sam Smith | 27 & 28 March | Manchester Arena
British singer-songwriter Sam Smith returns to Manchester this March with his biggest headline show to date – “The Thrill Of It All”. He rose to fame in October 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure’s breakthrough single “Latch”, which peaked at number eleven on the UK Singles Chart. His subsequent feature—on Naughty Boy’s “La La La”—earned him his first number one single in May 2013.
Tom Walker | 28 March | Gorilla
Tom Walker is a singer-songwriter originating from Manchester and signed with Sony Music’s Relentless Records. He released his debut single ‘Sun Goes Down’ in March 2016, a string of successful singles followed including his most successful to-date, the guitar led ‘Fly Away with Me’ in June 2016.
