With its early roots well and truly based around the Manchester student scene, Hit & Run has aged along with many of its regulars in to one of the nights which currently defines the City’s clubbing landscape.
Keeping to its original music policy of hip hop and drum n bass, the night has added a more dubby, garage, bass music approach to things, hitting pretty much every sub-genre along the way.
There aren’t many nights that survive a 3rd of the time Hit & Run has, especially with the evolving sounds of the last decade. The night has made a conscious effort to embrace different sounds and bring new flavours to eager ears.
The secret to its success is pretty obvious. Apart from having the ability to bring new talent to market and develop a number of successful local acts, hard work is the key. The night’s team have a reputation for putting the extra hours promotion wise, often the first to enter and last to leave any flyering hot spot.
Aside from Manchester, the night has represented at a number of Europe’s biggest dance music festival such as Outlook and Gottwood, hosted frequent versus events with numerous other operations and completed a series of regular shows at the legendary Fabric nightclub in That London, taking its rowdy rabble of residents along the way.
To celebrate its 9th Birthday and the first set of shows at their new home, Club Hidden, they will be hosting 2 events. One on Saturday 28th Feb and one the following Friday, 4th March. Details on the flyers below
