Both labels are famed for their extensive record collections so we can expect something very special in this unique b2b clash.

Hailing from Edinburgh, Athens Of The North’s aim is to shine a light on long lost tracks and bring new attention to the classics, taking their label to different corners of obscure musical excellence.

Starting life in 1989 as a small record shop underneath Daddy Kool’s Reggae Store in London, Mr Bongo Records were the first shop to sell vinyl releases from independent hip hop labels such as Def Jam, Rawkus, Nervous and Big Beat outside of the USA.

25 years on they are now based in Brighton with a recording roster featuring some of the best Brazilian, Latin, reggae, African and Jazz music by artists including Terry Callier, Jorge Ben, Joyce, Seu Jorge, Prince Fatty, Incredible Bongo Band and Marcos Valle.

Their publishing arm also produces and licenses music for brands such as Bacardi, Nike, Adidas, Fosters, Nissan and Guinness.

There will be exclusive records for sale from Athens Of The North, Dig Deep Records and Planet Rock. Check out the flyer for the full line up:
