Delicately upbeat, trippy and deliciously electronical, Get People have evolved from mere muso-blog fame to having on their CV an interesting list of rather cool support slots. Last year they supported Metronomy, Crystal Fighters and Ghostpoet gathering lovely, light electro-heads as they went.

Due to release their Harmonize EP via Luv Luv Luv Records on July 2nd they’re currently streaming their new single ‘Something Better’ for you to get giddy about.

Something Better is a wavy haze of a track. Gentle and warm but with enough exploding electronic bubbles to tickle you inside and keep you dancing along.

The accompanying video is a suitably surreal animation, which you can watch here:

Fortunately for us Manchester types Get People are playing at the Vice issue launch at The Deaf Institute on Wednesday 27th June. Entry is free and Get People are due on stage at 11pm.

It may be the most miserable summer in the history of deck-chairs but Get People will be delivering a unique blend of techno-pop that will warm your soul – like dipping your toes into the tip of a fibre-optic sea.
