Cheese and beer, an often overlooked but equally incredible combination to its counterpart, will be at the forefront of Bernie’s mind next month as it hosts an evening in collaboration with New Dairy Market.
Taking place on Thursday 6th October from 7pm – 9.30pm, the cheese and beer pairing event will see a curated three-course menu served in the well known and loved laid back setting of Bernie’s Altrincham store.
Focused on some of the very best booze and cheese available at the moment, the first course presented will be a French Onion Soup with Coolea Cheese croutons crafted by Triangle Bakehouse.
Next up, guests will be treated to Tartiflette, made with potatoes, Baronet cheese from Corsham’s Old Cheese Room, Curing Rebels lardons and The Plucky Pickle’s pickles, with the evening then ending with a coveted cheeseboard.
Comprising a choice of three different cheeses; a Westcombe Dairy cheddar, a St James Cheese ingot goat and a young buck from Mike’s Fancy Cheese, this is sure to be the star of the show. Each round is paired with a hand picked beer, with the reason behind each coupling explained throughout the event, too.
This is a great opportunity for guests to find out more about Bernie’s and New Dairy Market’s separate businesses, as well as to meet new friends and join those with similar passions for cheese and beer (which, let’s face it, has to be the majority of us?!).
Taking place just on the cusp of Autumn, the event serves as a cosy evening of great food beers and company at one of the city’s best neighbourhood hangout spots.
