With December now in full swing, our diaries are beginning to fill with festive parties, overdue catch ups and cosy Bailey’s hot chocolates in winter tipis.
For most, this means that December can be a pretty expensive month, so any kind of happy hour discount is an automatic attraction. Enter Alvarium, as the bar has just announced a brand-new happy hour offering a much needed discount of £2.50 drinks ALL night long.
The ridiculously cheap deal covers beer, house wine and spirits from 4pm – 1am every single Friday, serving as an ideal space for after work boozing, catching up with pals or drowning your sorrows without breaking the bank.
The happy hour couldn’t come at a better time, as the rising cost of living is forcing many to scale back on pretty much everything, but this way, the pub doesn’t feel too far out of reach.
On the £2.50 drinks menu, you’ll find bottles of Mahou Spanish beer, small glasses of temperanillo, temp rose and viura.
Alongside the beer and wine, Alvarium is also offering some extremely cheap cocktails, tasty spritzes and festive-themed drinks, including Santa’s Little Helper – a mix of brandy, bourbon, lemon, cranberry and orange – and Winter Berries that mixes vodka, apple, passionfruit, grenadine and lemonade.
Taking to Instagram the bar said: “Introducing the Friday night social. Due to the success of last weeks party with Manchester’s Finest to promote our happy hour running all night long, we’ve decided why not take it one step further… and continue our £2.50 (YES, £2.50) Friday Night drinks.
“All Friday, every Friday we’ll be serving selected drinks for £2.50. No need to book, just head down, booze up.”
