Two words spring to mind when thinking about Seven Bro7hers Beerhouse — quality, and integrity. While craft beer is hard to knock when it’s in your glass, specialist tipples are often shrouded in an air of pretence and presumed knowledge. Which is where these guys do things quite differently. With their Salford brewery behind some of the best cans and pints anywhere in the country, it’s little wonder the business has grown to incorporate a number of beer houses in prime spots around our city, and beyond (with other non-Manchester premises in Liverpool city centre and the Yorkshire mill town of Halifax).
The Ancoats outlet, on busy Blossom Street, is a perfect example of what we mean. Situated in the heart of a neighbourhood that has become renowned for its food and drink offering over the past decade or so, Seven Bro7hers Beerhouse stands out for all the right reasons. Founded by seven siblings who wanted to establish a go-to gateway into the world of craft brews, the operation is all about excellent drinks and down-to-Earth attitudes. And this is apparent in the branding alone: simple, inviting aesthetics that let the beer do the talking.
Options being served behind the bar include perennially popular varieties like the Juicy IPA and Easy IPA, Helles Lager, and Session, but those in search of something a little more extravagant, or at least fruitier, won’t go thirsty either. The tropical and floral Sweet Dreams, Chocolate Honeycomb Stout, and Watermelon Pale are all exceptional. That booze could clearly do with some food, so it’s a good thing that the kitchen is on hand to take care of that by way of comfort dishes such as meat and halloumi kebabs, burgers, currywurst, and spring rolls, to name but a handful of the menu items on this list.
