The Christmas Dinner Wrap at The Lowry Hotel

Christmas dinner is great and all, but my personal preference always falls with the leftovers. There is nothing better than sneaking down to the kitchen in the middle of the night to craft yourself a turkey sandwich and stuff it into your face while no one is looking. I'm pretty sure that's the meaning of Christmas.

But what if I told you that head chef Andrew Green from the Lowry Hotel’s River Restaurant has seriously raised the bar? Some say it is a legend, others say impossible, but I can assure you that it is indeed no myth.

It’s the Christmas Dinner Yorkshire pudding wrap.

Hold on to your Christmas cracker-hats, but it consists of an entire turkey dinner (including veg, gravy and cranberry sauce) all wrapped up in a Yorkshire pudding. I know right. How awesome does that sound?

Sure, the Christmas markets have just jumped on the hype of the phenomenon, but I can assure you Andrew’s was the first, and he told us he has been making these at home for a number of years. The roast beef version (sirloin steak, horseradish cream, beef jus and rocket) has been on the bar menu for a little while too, so when the Christmas hype dies down, pop in and try one of those too.

Come and try it this December. It’s what all your midnight munchie dreams are made of.
