Is it time to up your Instagram game throughout 2020? Whether you’re an aspiring blogger, want to work in social media or just love the gram, we’ve hand-picked our top spots to get the best pics in town.
Tattu
The colour-changing Cherry Blossom tree which changes it’s shade with the seasons just enough for you to keep going back and getting more bang for your buck. If the tree wasn’t enough for a cracking selfie, the food is always absolutely stunning and definitely photo-worthy.
NQ Street Art
Probably the first place that comes to mind when you ask any local of where to get an Inst will be the street art dotted around the Northern Quarter. It’s always changing too so you can really keep your game strong. Best places are The Outhouse in Stevenson Square, anywhere on Tib Street and the bees on Oldham Street.
Barton Arcade
I’d probably say one of the prettiest places in Manchester and it’s definitely on the up as I’ve seen a few bloggers using this spot in the last few months. There are incredible colourful tiles and gorgeous balconies giving you at least 10 different photo ops.
Ancoats Cobbled Streets
One of the most famous being, Anita Street this spot is perfect if you want to be in the picture or not -anything can look good on this road. Perfect if you get there early in the morning with crisp blue skies.
Thomas Street
If you get in the Northern Quarter on the beginning or end of Winter you’ll find absolutely cracking skies over Thomas Street and Stevenson Square that make for perfect building shots that’ll break up your selfies.
The Refuge
Fairy-lit trees, Crittal-inspired windows, velour sofas and natural light, The Winter Garden in The Refuge is a haven for Instagram. Get a selection of small plates or a fancy cocktail and you can get plenty of pics for the gram.
Town Hall & Central Library
The Town Hall provides some incredible architecture for any Instagram whether you’re a novice or a pro. Bit of blue skies sprinkled on the top and you’re on to a winner. There’s also the iconic arches for a cracking moody shot and the Rome-style Central Library. You’re probably bound to bump into someone doing the same thing here too so you won’t get any of those awkward nerves.
The Ivy
Pretty expertly designed, the entirety of The Ivy is incredible for the gram. But I’d recommend and it’s rather specific so bare with me – the girl’s bathroom on the third floor. They may very well be the most opulent toilets you can find in Manchester.
Northern Flower
Another spot on Tib Street but definitely worthy of its own shout out is the popular gram spot Northern Flower. Whatever the weather you’ll find a load of seasonal fauna outside the shop for you to frolic in. Just make sure you buy a bunch.

Pollen Bakery
I suggest going here even if it’s just to see the bloody gorgeous dog. If not, there are fantastic views of the marina and you can get beautiful light if you go early morning or late afternoon. If you prefer food and drink shots, you’ll definitely get a sexy pic of your coffee and cake too.
Mackie Mayor
Would a list of possible Instagram places be complete without an appearance from Mackie Mayor? No. You know the drill here folks.
20 Stories
You better bet 20 Stories is on this list. Did you even visit Manchester if you didn’t go to 20 Stories? Even if you don’t want a picture for the gram, you can get a cracking view of the city from up there.

Wolf at the Door
New to the scene on Thomas Street but with multiple photo-ops inside from art to plants and everything in between there’s something for everybody’s Instagram theme.
Floral Arrangements
Would your Instagram be the same without a flower wall? Chances are the answer is no. There are a fair few places you can get a cracking pick but our top picks are Zouk complete with a terrace and shisha, Kai the perfect place for a Turkish kebab, Albert’s Schloss and one of the best vegan places in the Northern Quarter, Alvarium.
