Thousands of peaceful protesters took to Piccadilly Gardens last weekend.

“Sorry for the inconvenience, we are trying to change the world” reads one of the hundreds of signs above the heads of the crowd. We saw that “all lives can’t matter until black lives matter”, and “0161 says racism can do one.”

The shouts from hundreds of “no justice, no peace” bounced off the walls of the surrounding buildings and thousands took to the knee to honour the many lives of people of colour lost as a result of systemic racism.

For those who were unable to attend the two peaceful and history defining protests in Piccadilly Gardens on 6th and 7th June 2020, we’ve collated 25 images from four of our favourite photographers who were able to document the protests…
