We know you must be pretty tired so here’s FIVE places you can take the kids that you will enjoy too…
Virtual Hideout
Let them live out their Playstation/ Game Boy/XBox/ Wii (or whatever kids play on now) dreams with the ultimate Virtual Reality experience. There are family-friendly and kid options, easy first-time games and even shooting games to live out your James Bond fantasies. There are even some space ships and horror ones.
The joys of being a child’s guardian mean you can pick the game they play so have your own fun with it. There’s one where you need to walk a plank, and I found it truly horrifying so can only imagine what a 12 year old might think.
If you get in quick there’s also the chance to win some amazing prizes if you get involved and get TOP 3 score on Space Pirate Comp before Friday. Give it a go.
Breakout
If you’ve read anything I’ve ever written, basically ever, you know I love a good escape room. I can only imagine what it’s like getting the kids back for 6 FULL weeks. Well, it’s time for a break, you deserve it.
Lock the kids up for 60 minutes and see if they get out. You get some peace and quiet and they get to live out their detective dreams. The Cursed Carnival is a 3* room, suitable for the whole family with the added extra of hunting down a bit of a creepy doll.
There’s also Facility X a 2* room – easy peasy. Kids will love it.
Tree Top Adventure Golf
You won’t believe this, but there’s an exotic wonderland on top of The Printworks. Yup. The rooftop has been transformed into an Amazonian rainforest, complete with two crazy golf courses: The Tropical Trail and Ancient Explorer each complete with 18 holes.
They’re fun, creative and perfect for kids to get transformed into a colourful and curious adventure. Below the treetops, in the neighbouring village, there’s a market filled with pizza and coffee (shhhh… there’s also wine).
Chill Factore
It’s so much more than gravity. Chill Factore is a haven for kids in the summer holidays. They’ve got summer camps, lessons, a new fun-packed inflatable snow park and even a climbing wall. It’s real snow, and even has sledges, tubing, races and an ice slide.
You will definitely tire the kids out if you take them here and there’s plenty of offers on for summer so there’s something for everyone’s budget!
Flip-Out Trampoline Park
No one can be sad when they’re bouncing around on trampolines and there’s something for kids of all ages from the Ninja Warrior course; an action-packed trial with awesome climbs, Cyber Towers; where you race your mate to the top, as well as a Lazer Maze, Stunt Box Zones and even the Ninja Slide with its a 20ft drop.
The Climbing Centre
If you want to test their strength and find out if they have a phobia of heights, get them down The Climbing Centre! There’s plenty of activities on over the summer holidays including youth introductory classes every day, outdoor events and family taster sessions.
……………………………..
DISCLAIMER: None of our writing team has kids and a lot of them don’t want them so we’re probably not the best to pick these out! And in fact, looking at the list, these are all places you either trap your kid in a room for an hour or there’s a possibility of someone breaking their ankle (looking at you skiing).
But the kids won’t know that so fun for all is 100% GUARANTEED.
