An exciting wine and dine event is taking over Tattu on Thursday 26th March courtesy of the renowned Northern Italian wine estate – Mezzacorona.
Their UK Brand Ambassador will be hosting the night, which will see some exciting new dishes added to Tattu’s A La Carte Menu – each paired with an individual wine.
The evening will be hosted by UK Brand Ambassador, John Lightfoot, who will take guests through the journey of Mezzacorona’s multiple award-winning wine selection.
Diners can enjoy a selection of wines from the famed estate in the Italian alps whilst tucking into a carefully prepared, exclusive six wave dinner developed by Tattu’s talented chefs.
The evening will begin with canapés, including Lobster and Prawn Toast served with sweet and sour chilli sauce and Crispy Duck Rolls with a delicious cherry hoisin sauce.
Wash it down with a glass of Mezza Di Mezzacorona Glacial Bubbly, a refreshing sparkling wine complete with rich and intense aromas of red apple, pear and white peach.
The first wave of food will see a pairing of Salmon Sashizza and Seared Tuna Ponzu with a glass of Castel Firmian Pinot Grigio.
The Salmon is served with yuzo kosho ailoi, truffle and pickled cucumber and the Tuna with caviar and delicious truffle aioli. The first white of the evening – this dry wine is known for its crispy fruit flavour with hints of chamomile.
The next sitting will include Tattu’s Wild Mushroom Spring Rolls, which have been expertly paired with the Castel Firmian Riserva Pinot Grigio. Served with a delicate truffle sour cream – the perfect pairing to the second white of the evening – with notes reminiscent of ripe fruit, vanilla and oak.
Wave three will see the Peking Duck Bon Bons paired with the red Castel Firmian Riserva Teroldego Rotaliano, described as “the royal wine of Trentino”, thanks to its organic qualities.
The rich tastes of sweet and sour with plum and sesame act as the perfect accompaniment to this intense ruby red.
Next up is the main course of the event. Dishes include the Caramel Soy Beef Fillet (with Shiitake and asparagus) and the Duck Egg Fried Rice (with deliciously rich Chinese sausage) paired with a glass of Teroldego Rotalino Riserva.
Aged for two years in oak – this wine certainly the most famous amongst the Trentino wines and rightfully called the “Royal Wine of Trentino” Full-bodied, this wine is balanced well with a fruity and light barrique. Ideal with roasted or grilled red meats.
To finish, expect Tattu’s delectable Asian Pear Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert, with cinnamon, vanilla and almond.
Tickets are priced £75 per person and there are limited spaces available, so we recommend you get booked up!
