To celebrate the opening of their new showroom in the city centre, jewellers at Steven Stone are going to hide a £5,000 diamond somewhere in the city as part of a massive treasure hunt.

Steven Stone will be reopening their doors on the first floor of St John’s Court, just a stone’s throw from Spinningfields, and to celebrate the opening, they’ll be hosting a five-day treasure hunt – where one lucky person can find – AND KEEP – a one carat lab grown diamond, with a retail value of £5,000.

To celebrate the opening, a five-day treasure hunt is about to take place, giving shoppers the chance to find – and keep – a one carat lab grown diamond, with a retail value of £5,000.

Everyday between Monday 1st November to Friday 5th November, the team will reveal consecutive digits of the postcode location where the prize is hidden. For each day of the week, a new digit will be unveiled, along with a cryptic clue, in a bid to draw diamond hunters closer to the prize.

On the final day (Friday 5th) those signed up to take part will receive an exclusive email with one final clue.

Whoever gets their hands on the diamond can have it set into a piece of jewellery worth up to £600 – whether it’s an engagement ring, pendant, or a special Christmas gift for a loved one.

Established in 1937, Steven Stone is led by Cheshire born brothers, Maxwell and Zack Stone, who have worked in the diamond industry for over 15 years.

Previously located at Hardman Square, the doors were closed in 2020 to make way for a more collaborative environment to allow customers and designers to create custom pieces of jewellery together.

Creative director, Maxwell Stone, said: “We are delighted to be opening our new city centre showroom – and what better way to celebrate than to give one lucky person the chance to seek this one-of-a-kind gem.”

Managing director, Zack Stone, added: “We’ve been working on the new showroom for over 12 months now, after facing unfortunate delays due to Covid-19, so we can’t wait to finally open our doors and spread the word with our exciting treasure hunt.

“Everyone deserves a diamond, so whether you want to pop the question to your partner or give your mum a gift she’ll never forget, this is your chance, so keep your eyes peeled next week.”

Treasure hunters should keep their eyes peeled for a Steven Stone gift bag, sealed with a beautiful pink ribbon, containing instructions on how to claim the prize.
