Lily’s Special Signature Sizzler
Lily’s Vegetarian
Alright, you must have heard of Lily’s Vegetarian Indian by now? Well, trust me when I say the reviews DON’T LIE. A little unconventional for a starter, but you have to trust the chef’s recommendation (right?) – the Lily’s Special Signature Sizzler. Cubes of paneer and cassava, crunchy spicy peppers and onion (tastes like salt and pepper chicken), and vegetable Manchurian chunks. I love you, Lily’s. – Ciara Martin
Unicorn Milk
Bistrotheque pop up at Selfridges
Mojito Jelly. My new favourite meal. Silver rum, lime and mint with a gold leaf topping & dehydrated lime – would you expect anything less from the Selfridges Future Fantasy bar? Served alongside a class of ‘Unicorn Milk’ (vodka, green melon milk, pineapple, lime and coconut) and of course served over ‘scented’ dry ice. Very boujee. Very nice. – India Morris
Pad Thai
Dive
Ah – stir fry noodles, oily, crunchy, soft all at the same time. I will wait while you think of a more delicious dish. … You can’t can you? We’ve all had a Pad Thai and we’ve all had a BAD Thai, but a Good Thai, now that’s tough to come by. Luckily Zumu took over the kitchen at Dive NQ not so long ago and brought Asian cuisine to the Northern Quarter with plenty of booze until late in the evening. Accompany that with the last Christmas Quiz of the year last night and I was absolutely buzzing. Fancy it for my tea every Wednesday night. – Alex Watson
BBQ Lamb Skewers
Wolf at the Door
If you’ve yet to visit Wolf at the Door, I have to tell you you’re missing out. If you have eaten you’ll know just how good these Lamb Skewers are, covered in a light miso glaze. They melt in your mouth, have just the right amount of tender fat to leave the lamb juicy and there’s the perfect addition of a crunch from the lamb fat yeast flakes on the top. – Ellie Edginton
2 Take Away Lattes
Just Between Friends
If in your day-to-day life you drink black coffee because of the lack of calories, you’ll know exactly what I mean when I say a latte is a bloody good weekend treat. Just Between Friends is also a delightful little store, with trinkets on the side and a dead good spot for people watching. And people watching on Tib St is one fo the best things you can do, there’s a whole range of folk on this street. – India Morris
