XS Malarkey Online
Tuesday 30th June
Once again the team at XS Malarkey have secured a fantastic line-up for their online stand up evening on Tuesday – with super-special guest Richard Herring hitting the top billing this week. Joining him will be Judah Friedlander, Daliso Chaponda and Jasmine Ellis – all watched over with love and grace by compere Toby Hadoke as usual. And it’s free.

Manchester Statues Guided Tour
Wednesday 1st July
This fella, Ed Glinert, the guy who’s hosting this walking tour, once emailed me after publishing a piece on Hitler and the Midland Hotel. He wasn’t happy at all. He’s “Manchester’s leading tour guide, historian and public speaker” and he said that there were a lot of errors in it. Sorry Ed lad. Anyway – he’ll be hosting a tour this week of Manchester’s statues – examining whether those who are celebrated are ‘Heroes or Villains’. If you’re interested in history then you’ll probably like this – he really knows his stuff. Oh and sorry again for the Hitler thing Ed.

Drive-In Football – Manchester City V Liverpool
Thursday 2nd July
The football is back and if my limited knowledge is correct – the Premier League shield has been won. Liverpool Wanderers won it last week after a thrilling match up against the Renford Rejects. So this game is pretty pointless then?! Yep. Okay then – no need to tell you that you can watch it at a drive-in cinema from the safety of your Ford Ka then. Okay bye.

Everything Opens Again!
Saturday 4th July
That’s right – this Saturday is the opening of pretty much most of the city’s bar and restaurant scene. They’ll all have rather strict COVID-19 safety measures in place but you can still go out and have a bloody good time. Hit up our list below of all the places you can go and forget all about this lockdown shite.
