IMBC Fringe Festival 2022

IMBC 2022, which takes place from September 29th to October 2nd, showcases and celebrates beers from across the UK and into Europe. Following a two-year hiatus, the festival is now BACK at Victoria Baths and visitors can expect craft breweries such as Bristol’s Lost and Found and Cheltenham’s Deya, whilst those heading into Manchester for the weekend can also head to a range of Fringe events taking place at the likes of Port Street Beer House, Kampus and Common.

Catapult Exhibition Launch at Whitworth Locke

This Saturday, Cotton On MCR will collaborate with Whitworth Locke to launch ‘catapult’, an exhibition representing Manchester artists with the hope of catapulting their career in the right direction. Saturday night will see art talks take place alongside the exhibition which will be showcased at Whitworth Locke for a month. There will also be a viewers vote competition and the winner will receive their own solo exhibition at Whitworth Locke!
Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair at Manchester Cathedral

This Saturday, Manchester Cathedral will host a line-up of the city’s very best vintage clothing, homeware and accessory boutiques all under one roof, for an afternoon of good old fashioned rummaging. Taking place from 11am – 5pm, you’ll find womenswear, menswear, homeware, jewellery, records and collectables all sourced from far and wide by independent traders. The pieces are always curated for the season ahead, so you can expect some great Autumn staples and one-off vintage pieces.

Night Shift Exhibition at XLR

Night Shift is an immersive exhibition looking at the culture of clubbing and raving, and what that experience means to young people. Hosted by art collective, Dilemma, the group’s aim is to make art more accessible to students and young people, creating a relaxed and inexpensive exhibition format that will encourage the public to engage with art relating to the shared experience.
After the success of the collectives first exhibition at XLR back in April, it’s back with a new show of works submitted by a diverse selection of young artists from across the country. There’ll be a variety of mediums on display such as sculpture, textiles, paint, photography and poetry, curated within a nightclub to immerse viewers fully in this all too familiar setting.
