Each and every Wednesday at Electrik of Chorlton you can find some of the finest record collectors and crate diggers, who are invited down to play whatever they want in entirety with no mixing, headphones, scratching or beat juggling, it’s all about the music.
On Wednesday 26th June, the weekly One Deck will be hosted and taken over by Manchester record producer and DJ, Mr Scruff.
A one-month exhibition of A3 prints taken from the flyer archive will be alongside the DJ set so you can sip on your beer and dance all while looking a the iconic artwork. Playing basically all the genres this night promises to be a good one for anyone!
Each image has become instantly recognisable for the fun, illustrated aesthetic hand drawn by Mr Scruff.
Mr Scruff who launched his career in the mid 90s quickly gained a reputation as a cross-genre DJ, reintroducing multi-genre music nights in Manchester and now globally. He’s become known for his love of tea, even opening Teacup down on Thomas St and his marathon sets that often exceed 6 hours.
So what are you waiting for? Head down this Wednesday! There is a huge selection of ales, craft beers, ciders and wine, as well as pizzas and paninis to devour while Pat enchants the decks.
