It’s grim init? It’s supposed to be June. Something needs to be done.

So we’ve scoured the internet for the cheapest and hottest places you can fly to NEXT WEEKEND all for under £200 to escape this miserable weather.

Manchester to Nantes, France £93
Just over 1.5 hours away, Nantes is a vibrant university city with plenty of history including plenty of churches and botanical gardens. Nicknamed Château Country, there’s plenty of opportunities to do some rural exploring. Beaches are also around an hour away on public transport for a seaside day trip.

Manchester to Brussels, Belgium £78
Historic and multicultural, Brussels is less than an hour and a half away from Manchester. There are 10m high dinosaurs in the Museum of Natural Science, Belgian beer tours, chocolate museums and Belgium waffles on every corner. It’s a foodie and beer haven.

Manchester to Ibiza, Spain £172
Ibiza has just about everything to offer, it’s a tranquil relaxing island with bliss beaches and the ultimate destination for clubbers when the sun goes down. I’m sure you’ve either been or at least heard tales about Ibiza. But there is actually plenty more to it than one strip of grotty clubs. Ibiza old town is full of cobbled lanes best explored on foot or scooter. There’s plenty of hikes including to the top of Sa Talaia for amazing views, cliff jumping from Cala Tarida, loads and loads of paella and cool hippy markets.

Manchester to Milan, Italy, £168
Around a 2 hour flight from Manchester, Milan is a metropolitan city known for its elegance sophistication, world-class food and fashion capital of the world. Milan is also home to world-famous mixology bars. It’s also currently undergoing an architectural makeover slowly embracing a modernisation.

Manchester to Nice £189
Nice is the perfect city for lazy days on the beaches to exploing flower markets and boutique shops. Parc de la Colline du Château with panoramic views over the city and a glorious waterfall. Just 15 mins away on train is the area of Antibes set on the French Riveria, which has a 16th-century port filled with amazing yachts. There’s also a castle where Picasso once lived which is now a museum.

Manchester to Amsterdam £107
I don’t think I really need to sell Amsterdam to anyone but in case I do – this place has it all, from sex shows to iconic 19th-century flower markets. There’s plenty of tourist attractions including Anne Frank’s house, Van Gogh Museum, famous cafes, canal boat trips, sex museums and condom shops. What’s more the flight from Manchester is so quick you barely have enough time to order a drink let alone finish it.

Manchester to Palma £138
Palma is the capital of Mallorca and is visually beautiful. There’s plenty of crooked medieval streets lined with mansions; galleries packed with the work of renowned artists and endless shopping. It’s perfectly split with plenty of areas for fun-seekers and areas for walking in the mountains. There’s loads of nightlife and loads of history being a Roman settlement. What’s more, it’s set to be 27 degrees next week!

Manchester to Antalya £112
The gateway to the Turkish Riviera, Antalya is the largest city on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It’s an incredibly picturesque place with a fabulous mix of beaches and traditional culture. There’s plenty for kids too including, Aqua Park, Beach Park and Dolphin Land (which also has sea lions and white whales). A must visit is Düden Waterfall, a tropical oasis with cascading waterfalls, loud birdsong and with a very tranquil atmosphere. Next weekend it’s set to be over 30 degrees so a perfect hot spot for a relaxing weekend.

Manchester to Lisbon £191
Lisbon has become really popular over recent years but it really is a great city. Just an hour away from the centre on public transport is glorious white sand beaches with a sea full of waves perfect for surfing. The centre is home to amazing food, history and cobbled streets. Bairro Alto is great for nightlife with rooftop bars and tonnes pub crawls. Alfama is the old town that is very picturesque and leads you up to Castelo de São Jorge. It really is a great weekend trip whether romantic or a boozy weekend with your pals.
