To welcome in 2020, Chef Julien Pizer and his team have created an exquisite special menu.
The newly opened 36-cover restaurant is located above the Edinburgh Castle Pub and is subtly building an outstanding reputation for its first-rate menus.
Each dish has been designed creatively in-house and been inspired by the British seasons, so diners can expect a true masterclass in attention, flavours and flair.
This New Year’s Eve, we can expect outstanding flavours and combinations from Pizer and his team.
Diners can book a table from 12pm to 9.30pm. Priced at £59pp, their special New Year’s Eve menu will feature 4 courses. Diners can also opt for wine matching to complement each dish!
With bread and snacks to begin, starters will include Sugar Cured Venison Carpaccio with coca-cola, smoked yoghurt, beets and shiitake and Salt-Baked Beet Carpaccio with blueberries, coca-cola, smoked yoghurt and shiitake.
Expect Duart Salmon or the famed Heritage Carrot before your main meal, both served with satsuma, rye, whey, smoke & horseradish.
Mains will include the delectable Beeswax Aged Beef which will be served with salsify, alliums, preserved tomato and oxtail pomme anna and their Fire-Roasted Cauliflower, with an aubergine pomme anna.
For dessert, expect Baked Chocolate Tart with hazelnut, caramel and jersey cream and of course, Pizer’s special menu wouldn’t be complete without a remarkable cheese dish; the delicious Baked Camembert with pear and saffron is served with spices and sweet honeycomb. Combining the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, in true Edinburgh Castle style.
