Some of Manchester’s best underground DJs are heading to the former garage workshop in Ancoats for a new clubnight.

Melt The Wax will be happening on November 11 at The New Cross, on the cusp of Ancoats and the Northern Quarter.

Providing the vibes on the night will be Homoelectric resident Will Tramp!, Levi Love and Supernature’s James Greenwood.

Onda, the pasta pop-up at the New Cross will also be debuting a new bar menu on the day, with small plates and hand-stretched mini pizzas.

New live gig app GigPig will be hosting the event, with the first 100 people to sign up for a free ticket getting themselves a free beer courtesy of Manchester Union.

The following day, there will be an all-day record fair at the New Cross too. Vinyl sellers Rubber Ducky Records, Round Sound, Haunted Dancehall and Dub Merchants will all be in the house selling their wares.

They’ll be shifting everything from electronica and hip-hop to reggae, soul and funk, while providing the tunes through the day will be selectors Joey T, Ramona regular Una, Rhod Parry & Scott Forrest, Fairhurst & Mark Hanson.

More free beer will be flowing on the day too, with a more Manchester Union being handed over gratis if you spend over £25.
